Drag To Pan
This example could almost be classified as a pseudo QuickTime VR in that it shares the panning interaction associated with virtual tour type media but does not involve any of the wrap distortion that make that effect look real. Instead, this activity uses a modified version of Jim Collin's behavior called "Pano In A Window" to turn a flat pano image into a interactive panning image that is based on your mouse's direction. When it gets to one of the ends of the pano image, it simply repeats a portion of the end so that you can pan till your heart's desire.
The difference in the modification is that I have added the ability for you to select your size and position of the effect on the stage so you do not have to fill the entire stage as the with Jim Collins' original. I have also added parameter dialogue boxes to help with the positioning. The original behavior, which I have labeled "Pano Fills Stage" can also be downloaded from the behavior library
