Interactive Magnify
This interaction is a good way to examine details of an object. The activity simulates media players such MCI's zoom viewer and the zoom controls in QuickTime. This non-plug-in zoom activity uses the "The Magnifier" behavior which was created by the folks at Director Online. I have further added on to this to give it the ability to zoom in and out with right and left mouse clicks similar to the zoom tool found in most digital imagining programs.
One thing that is interesting about this one is that you can navigate via the smaller image at the same time. In addition, the image will hold it's integrity for quite a few zooms but as with all media of this type, it will eventually pixelate. One last thing to note is that the quality is determined by the size of the source. So A larger source will msearean a farther magnifying.
